10/8/2017 2 Comments Weekend Soul Searching in ZambalesEverybody that lives in a busy city–such as Metro Manila, knows how draining life can be. Well, at least for people who prefers the actual wildness of an actual jungle than the monstrosities of its urban counterpart. It’s been more than 5 months since the last time that I have seen the oceanfront, and for somebody like me who spent my childhood with the beach as my backyard even a month away from the sea kind of make me feel incomplete. (Read more about my childhood playground here.) One of the things that every young, working adult complain is that we can’t go to travel for leisure as much as we want anymore. Gone are the days where spontaneous road trips to borders and out-of-plan travels fueled our youth.

5/29/2017 0 Comments 3M ROADTRIP SERIESOkay, so we are down to our last 3 weeks of summer and I haven’t been anywhere outside of the Metro! My summer hasn’t been very festive lately. Since April, we had 2 very long weekends, (5 days to be exact) and yet I’m still confined within the walls of the city. I did not meant for it to be this dull, believe me - I had my summer all planned out. But, things get a little bit tricky especially if you thought you were always prepared for something unexpected. True enough, my 2 long weekend trips were cancelled, my friends are nowhere to be found (probably enjoying dipping their toes in the beach or maybe loitering somewhere only God knows where) while I am pinned in this unimaginable series of wasted days, cold coffees and stale beers within the walls of my viridian colored apartment. "I love my pizza so much, in fact, that I have come to believe in my delirium that my pizza might actually love me, in return. I am having a relationship with this pizza, almost an affair." This quote from Elizabeth Gilbert’s worldwide bestselling novel, “Eat, Pray, Love” was all that I can think of when I first stepped inside the corridors of Venice Grand Canal. Ever since it opened more than 2 years ago, it instantly sparked overwhelming popularity among the local tourists and people outside Metro Manila for its thematic architecture that resembles one of Italy’s most romantic cities –Venice.

Balibago, Lobo, Batangas. An unquestionably challenging site that is gaining popularity in today's Lobo hiking scene.

BORACAY, the island that is internationally famous for their uniquely fine sand and an overwhelming view of the sun giving it's fiery kiss to the night, is probably one of the best places that my foot has ever set on. The feeling of the sand in my feet, the clear waters that surrounds the island with the people also having the time of their lives. Home to some of the country's most famous hotel chains and night clubs that is open to welcome guests from all walks of lives and interests. Unlike most people that goes to Boracay Island to experience parties, we went their just to simply appreciate the island with and beauty - to relax and de-stress ourselves from the business of the city. If you are the kind of traveler who'd love to relax and have a quiet and peaceful time but isn't far from the party districts, Westcliff Villa is one of the places that you should consider.

12/21/2015 0 Comments SUMMER FEEL IN DECEMBERILIGAN CITY, LANAO DEL NORTE Iligan City is nicknamed "City of Majestic Waterfalls" because of the numerous falls that can be found in the entire vicinity of the city. 12/2/2015 0 Comments GOTHIC REALMSCEBU, PHILIPPINES After a tiresome week of pure work, me and some of my friends planned on a trip to one of the holiest places in the entire southern part of Cebu – the Simala Marian Hills. Probably one of the most common impressions that can be heard every time a modern-day human being can make is “This. Is. Hogwarts.” I’m pretty much sure about that ‘coz that’s what I said. Haha. The intricate gothic architecture of the monastery would take you to a Harry Potter movie set or maybe take you to Westeros.
All my life, I've always wanted to be in LA, or even step on any American soil. To live in America for a time and to see it with my own eyes. I never thought I'd be able to make that dream come true in my early twenties! I participated in a Work and Travel Cultural Exchange Program hosted by the government of the US for us to well - exchange cultures of course. I was assigned to go to work in Texas and after 3 months, we have 25 days to tour around the US at our own expense. And by far, Los Angeles was the best.
